Design Right

If you create a product that has a different look or appearance, you may be able to protect it with design right. You do not need to apply for design right. It is an automatic right that exists as soon as you create a product or article that it protects.

It is not a monopoly right but you can prevent deliberate copying for up to 10 years from first marketing articles made to the design, but no more than 15 years from creation.

You should note when you created the design and when products with the design were first sold. This information could be useful if there is a dispute about your rights.
