Copyright protection
You may be able to protect your original creative works, for example photographs, written works, music etc, with copyright.
You do not need to apply for copyright. It is an automatic right that exists as soon as your work is fixed in some way, for example, on paper or on film. There is no register for copyright in the United Kingdom (UK), although there may be elsewhere. It is a good idea to mark your work with the copyright symbol ©, followed by your name and the date.
